That is how I feel about some of the people in here. It is pretty obvious that no one is trying to get excepted around here.
I call them how I see them. If that isn't how you feel then good for you. The fact their is a lot of complaining ass chumps in here is something you all have realized and even begun threads about. So why are you giving me a hard time for pointing it out?
I like the content on newstoday. I receive help here every now and again. I even help out others. That is the point of a community.

Ok... for the last time... I didn't direct it to Shellie. I used it as a general feeling from everyone who was talking shit on Kioken or cracking jokes.
And the thread alone isn't a negative rant? The comments that people are making are just plain sad. Concerned over how much money they made and who/why they went out of biz. It doesn't matter to begin with and to joke about another companies misfortune and one within your industry sucks. Why would you want to joke about that? People lost jobs because of that. Not to mention losing that talent as a group.
It just sucks when people have to discuss the downfall of others to make their day a bit brighter.
Lighten up everyone. This is why our industry is so disrespected.

Nobody started out in this thread making jokes about Kioken. A legitimate question was asked and you start with your Jazz influenced Gangsta talk.
Kioken was one of those companies that, to me, took it's self way to seriously. See Razofish, RareMedium etc (Can we get a list started here?)
Hey, I have no problem sticking it to a wealthy client when I get the chance. If someone want to pay six million for a web site I'll do it.
But, when the bottom falls out you better be ready to do some major groveling when those clients figure out they was chumped (Gangsta!)
If we can learn from their mistakes we may all be able to avoid those same mistakes in the future.
Are people going to make joke? Hell yeah! Will some of them be in poor taste? Yes. That's one of the reasons I come here.

For the record, I didnt defend shellie, I merely pointed out that freshmode got pretty pissed and this thread took a turn for the worse after shellie made a comment, then freshmode called her out on it but then said 'no offense, shellie'

I assisted a class with Josh D. and he said Kioken was in downtown NYC and after 9/11 they just decided not to rebuild. They all went their separate ways. The two guys wanted to make documerntaries and started something else street fighter themed called Jab Strong Fierce but I don't think it ever launched. They did a documentary about street fighter but I can't remember the address. It actually looked pretty cool...

Ok, so the initial start of the thread was a dig a Kioken. Point taken. Still doesn't negate the fact that some people asked if anyone could provide some info as to:
A) What ever happened to Kioken.
B) Who's Kioken?
C) How does FreshMode have so much fuckin' time on his hands and when will he learn some manners?So, for those who never hear of Kioken - Who were they and where are they now? PLease provide serious answers, smartass comments and personal attacks.
