  can you export just one scene out of a flash movie if you have a number of scene's in one movie.

  I don't think you can publish but you can test. Go to "Control">"Test Scene". If you want to publish, just copy and paste frames into new movie. All symbols will show up in the library of your new movie automatically so you don't have to worry about "tween" symbols showing up. Help me out with my question about Acquisition below if you can.

  Hey, you actully can export different movie clips or "scenes" as you are calling them, using the method described before.
