anyone else watching this on cbs?
its great. it sorta proves all the old renaissance painters used concave mirrors to replicate the realism in the paintings. its such a rad theory. and it makes a lot of sense too. i love how that art historian discount it. ive always hated art history major guy. he sucks

david hockney wrote a good book on it. I agree, nice to see the stuffy historians confronted with a discrepancy.

Yeah, Hockney made a programme about this too, was on about 2 or so years ago. Brilliant, and you get to watch him paint and draw, which in itself is enjoyable.

Johannes Vemeer used one, as far back as 16 Century, before anyone thought they were even invented !
Vemeer still a geius though, even if he was cheating a bit.
