I just had my very valuable package lost. I'm soooo upset. This was a tracked package and it just got lost. It was sent from Europe and arrived to Cinncinati, OH from where all trace is lost. The problem is that my folks didn't get insurance and it had some very important and valuable documents. Now, I assume they will just tell me "Hey, we're sorry but sh*t happens" maybe pay me $100 and call it a day. I'm sooo upset that I want to do something but everything points out that I'm out of choices. I've been using them for a while now and everything was ok, especially when I use 'registered tracking'. I want someone to go to jail for this. That fu*ker who stole my package. They have to know who handled the package last.
I just can't believe that someone can still a package and that's that. What should I do? Any advices.

hound them like a rabid pitbull, do not let it lie. Somebody must pay.
I've had so many fuck ups with deliveries it makes me nauseous. I still have a missing package from last xmas that is 'in a warehouse somewhere' but they dont know where - that too was supposedly recorded delivery!
they must die!!

I'm looking up their policies on this type of thing and their site keeps giving me errors.

mayo,
I'll save you frustration of going through their site. It basically says I can't do sh*t. They made sure that if your package gets lost they just pay you $100 at the most. Get this, they say they are not liable even if the package dissapears when handled by their DHL field offices, cause they might be like partner companies. wtf?!
I'm aware about this, but hey I can't believe that someone will go unpunished. I might not be able to do anything to do company, but at least that someone who stole/lost the package has to be legally responsible. I don't know if the mail law applies for DHL and their employees as well.

Rasko,
the problem is that my parents sent the package and they didn't think about that, cause everything they sent before arrived without any problems. I mean that's why DHL is suppose to exist for christ sake. To avoid things like this which happen when you use regular mail.

exactly, I feel for you dude.. dont give up hope yet, I had this really fine vintage watch from ebay that went missing even though it was tracked, it eventually turned up after 2 months.

Well an agent at DHL assigned to my case said that my package might not be lost, cause they know that it's in customs. They are trying to get to talk to someone at customs to get "eye contact" on the package and she told me they'll give me a call in an hour. I just hope they find it. It seems that they are trying to find it after all.

You're jumping to conclusions way too soon mate... but yeah see the package might be in customs.... and wtf is DHL, just use UPS or Fedex, they're global.... I've never had a problem with either, heard a few baddies about UPS from friends though....
