I think what will rather happen, and a better outcome IMHO, is that we won't become one boring race, but rather so damn mixed that we'll still look very different from each other, so much so that people will give up on categorizing races cos there's so damn many and it'll be a pain in the ass to draw lines. If you look at West Bengal (where I am descended from) you have very pale oriental, nepalese/tibetan looking people, as well as tamil looking complete darkies. I've never heard any distinction spoken out, both of them would be just simply bengalis. Unfortunately, the lighter skinned bengali would be considered much more attractive, but that's another story...
I forgot what this had to do with Israel's new atrocity but there's gotta be a connection somewhere.

to me it seems that israelis are trying to pay back for what happened to them 60 years ago. however they have chosen palestinians as their victims and are doing it in a more subtle manner. it seems to me (and i believe i have seen this idea being voiced in many places on the net) that if it weren't for the US backing, israel would have been forced to calm down by UN or NATO a long time ago.
it's just that a majority of the movers and shakers in the US of A could be labeled jewish...

with the possible exception of WWII USA has never managed to bring longstanding peace and stability to any region. mostly the situation has gone much worse after US forces have left.
israel is like communism - a great idea on the paper but it just wouldn't work in the real world. well, maybe if isreal was the 51st state and was located somewhere in the heart of USA.
however, i also think that without the arab countries wouldn't be the only ones to march into israel if there was no US backing - many european ones couldn't stand aside and watch palestinians ushered into consentration camps also...

thanks to another side of my blissful ignorance and to your vivid pictures of a mandingo, i have managed to compare israel with one. and i actually kinda like it ;)
