  thanks all for the help yesterday.

  here is where it stands:

  so here is the ?

  if the "About" button actions and movements reside on the 1st 10 or so frames, where do I put the same style items for the submit and gallery rollovers. If I put them on the same timeline, it will play them all? Right?

  Different Scenes? My brain is almost jelly at this point so I might be missing an obvious step.

  One comment:
  It seems odd that a click performs the action and then the reverse happens with a roll out.

  shouldn't it be a click and a click or a roll over / roll out?

  true. the click/rollout was a last minute decision. probably just go back to rollout/rollout.

  so can i just make each one of those menu bars a self contained movie and then place them on the 1st frame in the 1st scene? Or would that be too easy?

  that's correct. Your final movie will only have 1 frame with 3 mcs in it...
