Formatting plain text email

  Hi all,

  I'm sending an automatically generated email via PHP, but I'm having trouble getting line breaks to work across plaforms. I've tried loads of different combinations of ' ' and '
  ' but to no avail - does anybody know the definitive solution to this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
