So I just had to send out a mass email after changing my mail account info to fit the profile of a certain politician who's site I am maintaining and managing. I kind of forgot to change the settings back and went about my daily business, you know, wasting time on NT and emailing friends on company time. I sent a message to a friend telling her how much I hated my job and that I was leaving early. Wicked. The return address was set to go to my bosses......I am so awesome at working.

haha. nice.
at least you didn't I.M. your buddy talking trash about a guy in the office and mistakenly send the I.M. to him. happened to a guy i was working with a couple months ago. he meant to hit me up with the bashing I.M. but instead (his name was just below mine on his list) choose the other guys name instead.
so he sends him this quick bash of an I.M. to the guy he's bashing.
frigging hysterical. thankfully the guy does have a good sense of humor and somewhat blew it off as a joke.

hahah that's harsh...I've come close to do that before. Computers are nothin but trouble. Ya think you are all stealthy until you send it to the wrong person...leaving you feelin like a jerkface.

ive talked shit about someones project while they were sitting next to me cuz i forgot that was who did it...
backpeddling is much easier to do in an im or through email...
still hilarious tho

if my memory serves me correct, is this the politician that owes you money for unpaid work?

seen that happen 2wice here at the office..
1st time was me...
an email went around soliciting info on a friend of mine (one of my bosses) for his upcoming performance evaluation..
apparently we're supposed to reply back either in person or quietly..
i accidentally clicked reply all, and told all 500 or so people at the company that i thought he rocked and deserved a big fat raise..
everyone pretty much laughed it off, and my boss came over and shook my hand and said thanks...next time was a whooooole lot worse...but way funnier..
this dick of a manager made the same mistake i did..but instead of having good things to say, he absolutely RIPPEd into a friend of mine...totally out to shred his career...it was BRUTAL...
and it went out to all 500 employees...including the guy he was talking about...it made for a fun and hilarious day of office politics

Haha...glad I'm not the only one. I'm due to make some changes anyway...I think. Well..it's 20 mins to 5 here and so far nobody has came up to me to inquire about my disatisfaction...ah well. Maybe the person (whoever it is exactly?) won't recognize my name.
And yes ikbenvanrijn, you are right...they DO owe me money! They should know that I'm pissed! I sent a tersely written e-mail to my boss yesterday morning...

when i first started working a my present job, i ripped into a few design "suggestions" that one of our clients had asked me to do. i meant to just send it to the guy two doors down, but i accidentally sent it to the account manager too... who then, for a reason that escapes me to this day, saw fit to forward it to the client. I almost lost my job on that one...
