krimzen,
you said it!
i live in s.f. and your words are exactly accurate, i'm impressed. I've been to boston too....i like boston!
i pay $783 for rent and i'd move, but i've got a band here that depends on me...i was thinking LA for the jobs or to vienna to take a year off with my independently wealthy girlfriend.
oh s.f. , it's too damn cold here anyway.

I just got back from my friends place in SF.
He pays $750 for a small studio on the corner of Fell & Steiner. Great location imo. Too pricey for me. I'd rather move in with a friend to a larger place for less cash.

Hmm. maybe that explains the rotting stench I smell when I go to work.

its pretty slow... but still kicken.
I am moving right now to RIGHT Outside of SF.
I am going to be paying 1500 for a 2 bedroom house... and just to let you know.. this is a GOOD deal... most 2 bedroom houses go for 1600 and up in this area...
but it is still better than living in SF and for what I am getting.. i am paying less than I would if I lived in the city.
Work demands I be here,,, and I do like being here... but if I had my choise.. I would live elsewhere... tooooo damn expensive.. but im just glad to have a good job right now..

I live in Boston / Jamaica Plian on the pond side and pay $550. I pay nothing for off street parking, have a largge backyard and 2 stories of space. If you want it enough you can find it.
Jobs are starting to pick up and so are the clients knocking on the door.
Freelance is abundant.
