Hi, I have a technical question for you guys ....

Iam making a music video for TV and the guy at the post-production studio want me to give them a copy of my video in Mini-DV format so they can output it on a Betacam ....

Tell me if I've done the right thing: I have outputed my video from After Effects in Quicktime with the codec DV/DVCPRO-NTSC, full quality, no compression, the audio track is compression free too 48000Khz 16bits, stereo. My video have a lenght of 2min. 48sec., size is 768x480 and the final file size with this codec is 610Mo. Look crappy on my computer, but someone told me its normal, it will look good on the betacam.

Do you have comments, advises, suggestions ??? Am I doing it right ??

    THANKS A LOT FRIENDS :)

dv is dv, if you output that file through firewire to a DV cassette it should be lossless, thats about all you can do.

To print it to tape you ned to put taht footage in some editing program FCP, Avid Xpress, Premiere... To get the higest quality you shouls use "Video for Windows" (on PC) as loosless. Then when you bring it into Avid (for instance) you render that footage and then print to tape.
