ok, one of my buddies just moved into a new place... now, what are some cool, "different" housewarming gifts...
some ideas were: blender, george forman grill, f*ck swing, plant...
anyone got some better ones? please, realistic answers...

got my brother a $60 wine opener. satin stainless steel with black trimmin's on it. sits up in a stand on the counter.

it makes me think that the husband has done something wrong so he's sleeping on the couch, and I'm thinking that it's something he's "introduced" to the bedroom the wife doesn't care for, so he's out on the couch.

you can get them a gift certificate to williams-sonoma (enough to buy something there).. or pottery barn.. or crate and barrel. its so hard to buy people something that will go in their home. you never know if it'll end up in the closet. too bad they didnt register somewhere. that makes it easier on their friends and family.
or you can have williams sonoma make you a basket. include: 2 margarita glasses, the 2 kinds of williams sonoma margarita mix and salt, some fansy chips and salsa. i worked at williams sonoma in college. that basket is always a winner. people RAVE about the margarita mix (i love it) and you really cant loose. you can also bring a small bottle of jack to add to the basket when theyre wrapping. the basket and wrapping is free.. and you can pay to have it shipped to their house so you wont have to lug it around.
