Hi All,
Been asked to train a small company in basic web design skills i.e. dreamweaver, ftp, photoshop etc. Any thoughts on what to charge for the day?
thanks

i used to do exactly what you are asking.
dreamweaver, ftp, photoshopbasically a 1 or 2 day crash course. i charged $300 a day for an all-day session.
just make sure that you have all of your materials prepared and that you have your day pretty well planned with some gaps in there for some one on one time with some of the slower students.

i had to teach university faculty members from all over the south east US. and lemme just tell you, teaching teachers is the worst!
when you teach college students, they generally know what is going on, but a lot of teachers wont understand what you mean by "make a folder on your desktop".
so be prepared for that kinda stuff. but basically, you can't slow down to teach computer 101.those people shouldnt be there if they dont know how to make a folder. so you can only slow down so much. just remember not to be a dick to those guys, they are paying you too... but they arent paying to slow everyone else down. dig me?
good luck!!!

Watch out for budding amateurs. firing akward questions about W3C standards and CSS.

yep. there are always those people who want to impress their classmates and try to "teach them" while you are teaching class.
then those people get all mixed up because they really didnt have a good understanding of the subject and then you have to control your anger or you will findyourselfbashingheadsandscrea...
sorry. ignore me. =)
it really is a lot of fun! i loved it!
