Wow. I just went to a Chicago skate park yesterday at Wilson and Lakeshore. I'm blown away that a city would build something like that for skaters. Fucking awesome.
Anyway, it makes me wanna get back into it seriously.
Any Chicago skaters in here have a setup they wanna sell?

i used to live there and skate at that same spot.
good skating + hot chicks = fun summers.

I could give a shit about the hot chicks. I just want a board, and don't want to pay for a brand-new one (just in case this is recapturing-the-past phase).

wierd wierd wierd wierd wierd...
I was just thinking five seconds ago to see if I can borrow my roommate's car and head over there. Not skated there yet but wanting to get back into it, as I've skated off and on and "had it in my blood completely" for abou 17 years.

I have fond memories of skateboarding. I also recently found a cool page with most all of the current company logos. Some of these are great:

I took my niece who was just visiting me from Austin, Texas over there to take some photos. The second I got out of the car and saw the bowls and ramps I felt like I was 14 again. I got so excited -- the same feeling I got every time I skated a new spot back then.
I've been looking for some new form of exercise. Skating kept me pretty fit as a teen. I was actually pretty good back then, until I broke my ankle.

design or die!!!
oh...
fucka froot booters. Man those punks wreck skate parks. and they need to restrict skate parkes to kids 12 and up cuz I've hit three 4 year olds in the last 6 months... shit is getting on my consciousness!

Wilson skatepark is dope! One of the best parks I've been to.
I am a fruitbooter and the only way the parks get wrecked are from bikes.
Anyways, you should go later on at night, when it closes, we were there 2 weeks ago from about 12-3am, just 5 of us with the whole park to ourselves.

i have to agree.. the bikes wreck shit worse than anything. the only thing i hate about fruitbooters is when they WAX HANDRAILS! WHY!!!!!!!

stop hating on the bikes skape.
- skape0
Haha, I haven't waxed anything there, it's slick as hell.
I'm not into the whole skateboard/rollerblade conflict, whenever I skate there, EVERYONE is cool, no disrespect =)

dobolina, I'm not hating on the bikes, my friends bike.
All I said is they are the ones who wreck parts of the park, not so much the concrete parks, others that are wood or skatelite.
no hate here mang.

The lighting is pretty good. The only part thats a bit shady is the bowls, more so the one on the right because it's taller. We skated both but you just have to be careful. The street area is perfect! Hopefully we will be out there soon, maybe this weekend. Take care.
