Does anyone know off hand what CMYK values, kind of Ink etc. one would use to make a 3D image for paper? The kind where it's red and blue and you need the old school goggles.
Thanks in advance.

i don't know exactly, but i do know it's dependent on the type of glasses that are being used. there's red/blue and red/green anaglyphs. try google maybe?

Thanks for the reponse. Scoured google already.
I found a lot on how to produce an anaglyph in PS (and a lot of crap freeware). But I want to acheive the effect with vector art in Illustrator. Anyone else? Suggestions?

no problem. maybe one solution would be to use cmyk swatches and googles and just test it out. it seems like it would have to be fairly standard mixes with no halftones in order to work best (i.e., 100 cyan for the blue and 100 magenta/100 yellow for the red). good luck. post what you find out...

I've been working with 3D anaglyphs for my current book project, and the cmyk values I've come up with are 93 magenta/100 yellow for the red, and 42 cyan/18 yellow for the blue.
You will find that red/blue glasses vary considerably from one maufacturer to the next, and you can tweak your colours for the optimum effect using a particular pair of glasses, but the values above are the best average I've found.
This is the project, by the way:
