how/can you specify a color that you want to be transparent when you export a .gif using "save for web" in photoshop...?

my photoshop is in Dutch, hard to explain in English.
afster save for web - it has something to do with the colorpicker on the left, and then check the transparency checkbox on the right.

thanks, i have been fooling around with the eyedropper but still havent got it...anyone else...?

i'm not sure that you can.
whatever is erased from the image will be transparent, and the eyedropper is only for the matte. It would be cool if you can specify a colour to be transparent though.

you could in 5... but I can't in 6

word. i am not sure if there is a way to replace a color in the save-for-web options.
if you really want that color gone, you can always use your wand tool (sexual pun only mildly intended) and set the tolerance to 1 (or 2 or 3 blah blah) then uncheck the "contiguous" box.
then select a pixel that is that color. that will automatically select everything else with that exact shade. then press delete.
wham-o!
you got yourself a transparent spot.
there might be an easier way though. haha, there usually is an easier way for everything. =)

gee, it's so simple..
find the color in the colortable, and then click the 'map color to transparency' button in the lower left corner of the color table..
