hi kids, we've just finished our first dvd movie, all 120 minutes of it. We put it together in Premier, then used DVD Meastro to complie it, and burnt it to dvd using Nero Rom.
Now we find out the whole thing is way way too loud :-((
Does anybody have any suggestion how to make the whole thing quieter with minimal fuss? ie, without going into premier and adjusting the volume of every single little clip (there are a lot of them).
any help would be great! and thanks in adavnce

Just export the whole thing as one movie from Premiere, then you can adjust the sound level on the one audio track if you bring it back into Premiere... or in Premiere apply the fade to one clip (using the Fade adjustment tool) and choose Edit>Copy, then select all the others (using the Multitrack Select tool) and choose Edit>Paste Attributes, click on the 'settings' radio button and select only 'Fade Controls' and click 'Paste' this should reduce all the other to the same level...

ok, cheers, i'll give your second idea a go. I already have the sound exported as a seperate mpeg file for the dvd authering, but i think if i just reduce the volume of this sound mpeg i may loose quality, it will probably be best to re-export from premier using the fade controls as you suggest.
cheers
