well, sorta. If you are on PC but want some of the features of the safari browser (tabbed browsing) go check out MyIE2. This is not a plug in, its another app that leverages the IE backend so dont worry about messing up IE the way you like it. it's shareware and done well in my opinion. tons of customization available. enjoy.

Or, you could just use Mozilla 1.x.
And, if you want a browser like Safari for PC, then start using Linux or Unix, because Safari is nothing more than a pretty MAC shell on the KHTML engine.

yeah, but lets get back to practicality, i dont want to stare at ugly mozilla all day (not that ie looks all that great) and im not a prgrammer, i dont have time/patience for linix

a) you can skin mozilla without any plugins or addons.
b) ie is no longer in production, meaning it won't continue to exist past next year.
when microsoft releases longhorn publicly, both mac ie and pc ie will no longer be supported.
while use will continue for a while, there will no longer be updates for either.
microsoft has already annouced this.
c) you don't need to be a programmer to use Linux or Unix - especially since gnome and kde look similar, if not better than windows in a lot of ways.
and, since the Darwin kernel is bsd, you actually are using unix if you're using mac osx.

I've already downloaded myIE2 and replaced IE as my favourite browser.
A very good effort, but I think the paragon with Safari is inappropriate.
