Ok...I like this now...http://www.adobe.com
a little redesign... Did Hillman Curtis do this one too?

there is another thread (at least) on this... thought I'd point that out for you :)

ewww, i just noticed this garbage. youd think with the power they offer in the software, they could have gotten someone half decent to do their site. this site is definite garbage.
- atomica0
Just gotta ask, whats qualifying it for garbage to ya?
- unknown0
The site works, it's clean and it's straight to the point.
- atomica0
my thoughts exactly sportytheif
- sexypixel0
the image on the homepage is puke.
but ya, its functional
- sexypixel0
the text in the drop downs is ugly too, as is the gray gradient on the top bar. Its not a very pretty site, but its adobe
- Poopsmith0
seriously sexy pixel. i mean, do i need to state why this site utterly sucks?
function...i'll tell you what function it serves...
the function of making my eye twitch from those ugly web safe colors.
seriously, when did "function" become a number one policy at newstoday? this is newstoday, is it not? i didnt drop by useit.com by accident, did i?
- sexypixel0
who said anything about function being the number one policy. Do you want to take this outside tuffguy?
:)

a lot of design is about form follows function, but that site encompasses more good than function. Personally I like adobes ability to still use negative space so well, even with sooooo much content...

it sucks especially for a company like adobe. And it hurts me to say this, but even Macromedia did a far better job with way better functionality. Although our friend Jakob Nielsen probably prefers Adobe.
- gravityroom0
Yeah, but Jakob gets a check from Macromedia now... I think they hired him to shut him up.
Adobe's site just doesn't get me excited about their products. The design is very average and the code is buggy. Hillman Curtis did not do this version I guarantee. They need to hire one9ine.

"Adobe's site just doesn't get me excited about their products. The design is very average and the code is buggy. "
that is exactly what i am saying herrr people.
and sexypixel, i was agreeing with you...not beefing with you.
