I have been thinking I would like to have a site that is equally interesting and useful to: potential employers, potential clients, other designers and friends (as in to be able to tell an old friend your site so they know what your up to).
Do you think thats possible all in one site or would that require two or more? Like one for personal one for client work and one for employers.
For instance I dont want to freak out clients and employers with wierd stuff, wouldn't want my resume on my client site, wouldnt want to bore other designers with some of the boring corporate crap I have to do, etc.
What do you think?

I once envisaged 'the perfect site' whilst lost in the K-hole.
It was pure white with a large fractal dark mass, floating in the middle of an infinite 3d space.
Sorry, that was a touch irrelevant, no?

Not sure if this is totally what you have in mind, but the perfect web site does exist.

just remember this...
you can please all people some of the time, and some people all of the time, but you can't please all people all the time.

I once witnessed an audio track transform itself into a giant tractor with big grinding plates turning and smashing to the beat whilst lost in the K-hole.

I think it could be done, and it would be a very interesting project. Thats thing about the web though, with all this dynamic data, skins etc. it should be perfectly feasible to make a website that appeals to all the people you mentioned. Give it a go and maybe you'll up the bar for the rest of us.

good question. I myself have struggled with wanting my website to be more then a portfolio but still something that I can use to sell myself.
Companies need the perfect website too. A balance between Customer and Company Info.
