HELP!!!
We're trying to cut small mp3 loops for use in a flash music mixer. We want to keep them as mp3s so that we can load them dynamically.
PROBLEM
For some reason, when we edit the mp3s, it inserts a small silence at the head and tail of the sound. We've tried chopping this silence out in soundforge and various other apps... same result.
Is it something inherent to mp3s themselves?
Thanks for any advice you may have.

flash always does that with any mp3.
use wav instead.

The mp3s themselves have silence inserted. very strange...
It must be possible with mp3s.
JazX? Have you got any insight into this?

it's the software you use to export the mp3s that adds the silence.
use wavs instead since flash converts all sounds to mp3 on export anyway

thanks for the advice...
I'm trying to load the sounds dynamically with the soundObject. That's why I'm really pushing to use mp3s.

listen to StyleJunky, always use .wav. .mp3's by nature do not loop and are not meant to.
