Engage, I thought I was the only person in the world who was still unable to completely forget about the blockerboots song even though I'm 29 now and it must have featured on some kids programme at least 20 years ago.
Anyway, best song, hmmm, depends what mood you're in really:
Golden Brown - The Stranglers
Roads - Portishead
Down the Dip - Roddy Frame
There is a light that never goes out - The SmithsThere's too many...

Really tough one, I guess it depends on what kinda mood you´re into and tomorrow I would probably say another tune.
But I think Jesus and Mary Chain - Never Understand, is the greatest song ever. Damn that´s a cool band.
Runner up is:
The Smiths - There´s a light that never goes out

it's so easy. guns & roses.
untouchable. garbage.
Offline P.K. pinback.
just like you imagined. NIN.
don't pay the poll tax. the exploited.
pagan poetry. bjork.
alice. tom waits.
your favorite local band. any song.funny how people still cling to those "classic" rock songs; as if they bore some significance today. they're nothing more than pleasant-sounding placeholders, folks...music has evolved. sitting around talking about songs like "no quarter" is like sitting around discussing our favorite Intellivision games.
perception is the key, yes...but you've gotta make sure you keep hitting that "refresh" button. don't miss out on what's going on around you right now for a bit of nostalgia.
...just my 2 cents.

Well, to "logically" answer this, u must go with categories, and there are very specif category "comments" that can point very precisely a decision, so here goes :
General/All-time best :
Bohemian Rhapsodie
QueenFavorite Category
Electronic/Trip hop/ Acid Jazz :
Top 3 Favorite Songs In that category :
-1-
(short one, but nonetheless by far the winner in this category)
Relaxin' with Cherry
Kid Loco - A Grand Love Story-2-
Deer Stop
Goldfrapp - Felt Mountain-3-
(again a short one, but it's soo good while it lasts hehe ...)
Mark After Dark
Bullfrog (Kid Koala) - BullfrogSo of course my choice is influenced by my taste, hence the 2 categories, but really, Bohemian Rhapsody beats any other song in a heart beat ... no competition ...
G'day
