I have a g4 and sony trinitron monitor. Why do I not see an option for 32 bit color? I think the monitors panel lets you choose millions of colors.
If you make something in Flash and an image or BG with the same hex color it always looks different on my machine. Like two different colors. (someone pointing out before that that means your not using 32 bit color)
Is it the computer or the monitor?

hmm... i thought 32 bit color => 24-bit colors + 8-bit alpha channel.

You should be right if you use webSafe colours for html/flash matching

So does anyone know for sure? Is it the graphics card, older g4 or monitor?

Monitor.
It has to be.
sometimes even websafe colours go funny.

So if you get a new monitor does a new setting show up in the control? My color settings are only 256, thousands of colors and millions. I would think a new Sony Trinitron would be capable? Also my PC at work has 24 bit and 32 bit (true color).
