Attik have teamed up with Huddersfield University with a Masters Degree Programme. It's intened to bridge an emerging skills gap in the creative secter by making students more commercially savvy before the enter the job market. The core of the programme is simply, real-life experence. Real
briefs, real deadlines, real clients and there's only 15 places are
available.The Fees are;
£9,500 for Non European Students
£7,500 for Eurpean/Home Students
or £2000*Scholarships are available for recent Uk graduates reducing the fee to£ 5,500.What do you think, is it worth taking out more loans for this ATTIK MA or just we students just get a job ?

What do you think, is it worth taking out more loans for this ATTIK MA or should we students just get a job ?

An MA is a good thing. Plus you should ask whether you get work experience at the Attik.

Well you do actualy work for Attik when on the course, they supply the briefs so I'm looking at this for an investment. It's expensive but it could improve your employment prospects, so i'm looking at this as an investment for my future.
Hey first things first...is getting on the course.

It sounds like a great opportunity (for you and them). You'll learn from some of the best and be sure to be one of only a few. It will probably help you get a job anywhere, too. Everyone will recognize the name and most (I'd guess) are aware of the limited size of the program.
Having good teachers is by far the most important thing to developing your talent.

sounds very good but 6k is a lot of money. considering you can do an MA at the royal college of Art in london with a 92 percent employment rate after for much less. reckon the jobs would be 100 percent for this course though.

" Just slap that 6k to my student loan account thank you !, i think that makes it a total of 18k in debt WAHOO !"

hmmm. i read about this on their site. my advice is to get together a great portfolio, be ambitious, energetic, driven and self motivated. getting a real job and doing real work for clients is all you will be doing eventually anyway. there is nothing on any course that can really prepare you for this. just get stuck in.
the attik are a great design studio but this all smells really gimmicky. also, be careful, because their fortunes are all over the place at the moment.

maybe : go in for interview, if you get offered a place - ask if it would be possible to have a guaranteed place for the year after, take a year out in the industry and see what takes you. it will improve many of the skills you already have and give you a lot more - thus making you more prepared for the attik course next year.
i'd like my students to do that if i was runing the course anyway as i reckon from ba to MA is done too quickly these days - life experience is richer than education experience, give your skills chance to mature.
