Alright, well, since netscape and IE seem to be second to mozilla, whats the difference between mozilla and IE/Netscape?

I'll give IE that it'll handle just about any page you throw at it, but though it's improved vastly over the last few years, standards compliancy is Mozilla's bag. Mozilla is always under development (open source) and new versions are released all the time. I just LOVE tabbed browsing. I never open more than one window at a time, it's so much more convienient. There are some very useful user preferences like pop up blocking and to prevent the browser from being moved or resized by a web site. There's great cookie management as well. It's skinnable so it doesn't always have to be ugly.
I like Firebird so far because it's Mozilla without the bloat. And since Mozilla is Netscape without the bloat, You can optionally install extensions into Firebird to extend it's functionality which is fantastic.Netscape - just say no!
Mozilla is a lot slower to start up than IE, though, which can be annoying.

yeah, its just nice not to have to run a microshaft contraption, although win2k is still the shit.

After re-reading my last post I noticed I manged a sentence fragment...
As I was trying to say, Firebird is Mozilla without the bloat, and Mozilla is Netscape without the bloat. Therefore there's little reason to not cut the fat.
And like phs said, it's nice to use "the little" guy, if you ignore the Mozilla/Netscape connection. I still want to try Opera on a regular basis. I've heard great things.

They need to make a pc version of safari :)

Don't hold your breath, but this could be interesting a long, long time from now.

can they really do that?

Technically, I'm sure they could. Legally, HA! Fat chance.
