I am in the market for a new Mac and interested in taking advantage of the G4 sale now on.
If I am using Illustrator, Quark and Photoshop most often with some possible After Effects work, what processor would be adequete for me?
Thoughts??

: ) sorry dudes ... but 'Bling' dosen't help a brother make the decision ... its a computer we are talking about here ... right? ... ain't know bling in that.
Has anyone noticed when the most value is used from a Dual???

if you're running os X, it'll use both processors. If not, it won't use them as well.
Common sense says that a dual processor would be a little more powerful than a single.
But that's just a guess, right?

Well, this is not what I here ... from what I understand only certain programs are programed to maximize the dual processor ... others are not. Like Photoshop is but not Quark.
Like I'm just curious if I am better off just getting a single processor and spending the money on RAM.
Anyway, thanks peeps ; )

Save your money and get the single. Itll all be irrelevant when in 1 year there are dual 4 gig g5's and stuff.

Well, I think it basically comes down to what I need in a machine.
I'm thinkin a single processor would be fine.
Now I wonder ... could I even be more of a cheapo and get an iMac ... going back to school so I need to save cash
