It's not Adobe.com that sucks. It's the Acrobat illustration (an acrobat in a suit? :P). Considered it's just a temporary promotion it's not that bad. Try to visualize the page with an image by vasava.es and all your problems are solved :)

I also think it's a little bit boring for being the company behind photoshop. I think even Corel's site is much cooler:
