I just installed OS X.2 about 3 months ago. I love it, it has been working great for me. It recently started running slow and I wanted to try to defrag the hard drive. Does anyone know how?
It shouldn't be running slow. Maybe it's OS X but I want to defrag to give it a try.
I am on a dual 533 G4 with 768 MB of ram. No reason why it should run slow. I don't do video. Just web and print work. The print work is pretty heavy at times but not to the point where everything gets slow.
Thanks in advance

X.2 what. Do you have the latest upgrades? there are a number of upgrades to optimize the system for perfomane. Check with http://www.macworld.com for more info. And check with apple of course.
Regarding new dual G4 machines, they should be working well, given that everything is in place. I have one that after upgrading some system items runs real well.
