I had downloaded and installed the DEMO Office version for MAC and since have installed Office for 9 complete version but all of documents (text) still default open in the demo version forcing me to open the app first and then opening the file. Waste of time. How do I fix this? I can click on the file and do an "open with" but isn't there a way to uninstall the demo version or at least direct it elsewhere? When I tried trashing the demo version, the puter still looked for it and came back at me with an error.

get into on the document.. apple i - then select in the menu "open with" then choose your app.
you can either change that particular .doc or whatever extension your using to open it. you have an option to select hard drive wide, or you just that document with the app you selectred.
does that help?

isn't there an option under 'open with' to force it to always open with the selected app? not sure, i'm not on osx here and i can't remember.

drag your file onto the toolbar

(1) Go into your 'Applications' Folder
(2) Drag the Demo version to the trach can icon in your dock
(3) While still in the Finder, select 'Empty Trash' from the 'Finder' menu.
