i mean...
... we... i love... --- can't...
..
...who's gonna do all my vector-work now?
:)

I should still be there when you get back brooke. i'll probably stay the week out and leave Friday or Saturday.

there's lots of vacancies in the city apartment wise at the moment. I'll keep a look out, whats your price range?
We owe you a few beers and cheers when you get here.

I think with rooommates, $500-$600 a month is okay. But maybe a little more since I'm not a big spender. I would LOVE to live in Manhatten.
Just a thought, would Q let me live in the studio?

Little late showing up in AZ myself. Moving out to Tempe next monday. I can hardly wait to unload my couch in 110 degree weather...
Not to jack the thread or anything, but anybody know about jobs out that way? All that resume stuff I sent out in June netted me one interview.

what do you do artboy?
URL?
:P
- timajick0
He may let you live here Brooke, but you'd have to share it the half dozen mice that also call this place home.
Yeah, and flashing those @ signs never hurts. You could probably find a room in a share up townfor $600-700 a month. Brooklyn seems to be popular with the kids these days.

Print work lately; all the web projects we were supposed to work on this year got axed in January, and the company I work at closed in June. Thank God for severance pay.
So what's cool to do out that way?
- brooke0
Hm... there's not much to do around here, Artboy. But we can certainly all sit around & die of heatstroke...

What Brooke?!!!
Yeah there's nothing to do here if you don't like:Hiking, mountain biking, swimming, camping, canyoneering, rock climbing and the plethora of other outdoor activities that abound here.
But I guess if you aren't into that stuff then there may be nothing to do.
Why yah moving to NY Brookie, besides hating the phoenix heat?
:P

oh and I forgot skiing and snowboarding. The mountains here had pretty sweet snow levels this year.

i nearly passed out yesterday... running from my apartment to the main office to catch them before they closed so I could pay my rent... it's like 100 yrds from my apt --- i nearly died.
true story.

bless you, Paul.
AZ sucks for about 3 months where you have to hide in doors during the day...
... but at night - lot's of parks open... lot's or street ball - hocky leagues - baseball and softball seem to be big too.
then there's all the independent stuff mentioned by Paul (my preference too) I hike one of the mountains in the middle of phx about 3 nights a week (not really hike... but walk up)... down in Tempe you'll have the little mountain next to Sun Devil Stadium which is fun if you want to get out and view the city and watch airplanes....
... and there's plenty of live music.. shows... galleries ect. ect...
I'm starting to love Phoenix now. I've only been here 3.5 years... and now all my family just moved here 2 months ago.
yep... i love phoenix. 'Cept you do have to drive at least 2 hours to snowboard.
- brooke0
Oh, excuse me, I meant to say that there's nothing FUN to do here...
No, actually I love all that active stuff. Arizona is good if you want to get out in nature. But it certainly doesn't have the pizzazz that, say, NYC does...
- brooke0
Don't die, Kevin!!
- abizzyman0
the pizzazz is my family now... used to want all the NYC mumbo jumbo...
... now... getting married and having a family --- hangin' with Pop's seems more appealing to me...
... am I getting old yet?
- artboy0
Has to be more there to do than there is in Ann Arbor.
I'm more happy about the mountain biking than anything else. Not looking forward to the damn heat as I'm a rather pasty fellow, but hey...
- unknown0
Old fart like me! Just went over the hill the other day.
Very true though Brooke, NY beats the hell out of Phoenix for night life/culture, but AZ definitely has NY beat on the active sports stuff.

Dude Ann Arbor! I used to work in Ann Arbor right downtown and then at Borders headquarters.
But I'm a spartan so it was tough to take.
Trust me, I moved from Michigan 3 years ago exactly and Phoenix blows Mich away!!!!
:P
- artboy0
No kidding! Had a couple buddies from East Lansing; they used to say "Be a Spartan, it's a riot".
I'm so sick of cleaning the snow off my car every damn day in the winter that Tempe will be an improvement for that reason alone.
