member login/portfolio/bio

I'm looking for a pre-fab php application that has a member login with the ability to upload a personal potfolio, bio etc.. Something similar to many of the photograhy /art / computerlove style sites. This is for a non profit local project.
If this is not possible I am willing to dive in and learn but I realize this isn't something that a new person can whip together.
your advice is appreciated.

I know there must be some kind of app out there, similar to phpnuke. I've search hotscripts, but nothing that has a bio/portfolio kinda section. They are all photography related.

i would stay as far away from PHPnuke as possible - its codebase is quite sloppy.
freshmeat.net has some nice scripts.
PHP is so easy and fast - I would find a programmer (a friend, someone in school who will work for table scraps, etc...) and custom build exactly what you want.
