Anyone use CUTEftp? If yes, i recently added a new copy to my pc and it's not letting me upload. Says i don't have permission? I have the same setup at work and i can upload fine to my site there. I have checked the CHMOD through cute but i can't change it from there. Anyone got any ideas?

try turning off your firewall, if your on a PC then you need to make sure the windows one isn't working.. go into network connections>details and it should be the last tab..
if that fails try a different program..

Use FlashFXP or SmartFTP, the only FTP apps for adults ;)

you miss out on Transmit then... nicest GUI around and lotsa useful features.
(although Interarchy is more powerful for some stuff like mirror synchronization droplets n stuff)

I would concur with the SmartFTP and FlashFXP recommendation. SmartFTP is awesome and freeware. FlashFXP is awesome if you actually need FXP transfers.

I just use windows explorer to drag and drop files and all. When somethign goes wrong, you can always count on ftping through command-prompt. Just do a search on how to do it in google, it's easy and a bit faster.
