I'm trying to export EPS files from freehand and open them in PS trouble is the colour gets washed out and doesn't match. Ive checked the usual RGB/CMYK work flow - anyone have the same problem? Would I be better off with Illustrator?

you'd always be better off w/illustrator as it's adobe (like PS)...
... I'd try bringing the freehand file into illustrator and just recolor it there... then you can either open an .eps file or.. just open the .ai file in PS.

illustrator will be always better than freehand. working with freehand eps is more shitty than the new matrix movie

In FreeHand make sure your colours are 'Process colour' not 'Spot colour', then when exporting [as .EPS] click 'Setup' check either CMYK or RGB, click OK.
Open Photoshop - Open your file making sure you check either 'CMYK or RGB' depending on which you option exported in FreeHand.

has there ever been an illustrator / freehand brawl on here?
... perhaps I should search the PV-AN before asking such stupid questions.
