What are your favourite places of interest in Amsterdam? Bars, galleries or whatever.
I am going for the first time in July for a weekend so any suggestions would be appreciated.

my favourite coffeeshop (always important) is called "greenhouse effect" (there is another one called "greehouse"). is a nice, small coffee in the red light district. you will find it. young people, not the typical stupid tourists making noise, you know...
you can smoke (of course.....!!), take a coffee, the music is great, the people are nice....

hate to lower the tone, but the Banana Bar is ALWAYS worth a vist. what those girls can do with bananas.....

I been there 3 Y ago and I'll be there again next August.btw, i loved the greenhouse effect CShop and Pub also. my favs.. museums??... I'd also love to hear more.

I agree, Club Vegas, but only the smaller Sunday club. The big tranny on the door said I wasn't glittery enough. Still, after 15 gins I was covered in paper streamers. She changed her mind. Weird 60s sci-fi movie music band were playing and the films on the projectors were class!
