I have a couple of files on my desktop that i simply cannot shift. Whenever i try to throw them away they just claim to be being used by another task help me what can i do x

try quiting every running program then trash.

have you tried restarting? that usually works for me.

um...try cleaning your PRAM. don't think that will help, but i don't think it would hurt either.

Use the terminal.
rm -rf filename
