i bet extensis (makes suitcase) are weeping right now. but the new font manager looks great. one of my biggest problems with X was font managment
plus labels are back! i don't have to use 3rd party stuff any more

So, in the short term, what font management tool would you recommend?
because I feckin' hate Suitcase...tah.

what i like alot with suitcase is the auto-activation plugin for illustrator, hoping that fontbook will support this... on the other hand, every two days i have to delete all ".lst" doc. to get illustrator stated, it freezes at reading font (have this problem since suitcase...)

do a search on files with extension lst, it's somekind of adobe doc., trash them...

yes, 8dot3, unfortunately you have to pay for it. which sucks for those on budgets, like i will soon be.
In reality it is OS 13. jaguar being OS 12. but they put so much money into marketing that they would never give up that gooey X
