whats your take on comparing vectoring software?
which one to choose?
- unformatted0
to not compare them. only tools.
- Kinjo0
which ones(s) do u use unformatted? im trying to figure out what to get here.
- unformatted0
well i use illustrator cuz that's the one i started in. ppl will get into battles of which one is better (freehand/illustrator). all i can say is i love illustrator, except the no multi page layout is dumb.
sorry i can't say what freehands pros and cons are. cuz i don't know how to use it.
i would say download demos of each one and test it out for yourself.

yeah im retarded at illustrator, know of any good tutorial sites?
streamline is kinda neat.

Good? No. Linux is not a platform for graphic designers.

KIllustrator seems to be the best one around:

streamline isnt very good actually. tried fiddling with it. all it does sometime, is give you something to start from. but, you'll still need to learn how to use the tools in illustrator well to go from there.
i suggest illustrator over freehand but htye do the same thing for the most part.

Corel Draw, baby! No shame about it!

I use Freehand 10, only because I found it much easier to learn and get around than Illustrator. I must say though that the program gives redraw errors fairly often when working with large files.
