cheers man, thanks...that 4th tee design is troubling me...is it the colours , the placement or does the design just suck?

Favorite: the bubbly 'SCIENCE' with the paint drips.
Least Favorite: The 2nd board (it looks like a graffiti character drawn by someone who doesn't write)
The keyboard letters are pretty cool, too...
- scnc0
thanks man, thats cool :)

i actually like them all very much!
the bubbley drippnig science letters are a bit of a venture from the feel of the others.. but still very cool.
i'd buy em.

ok,
this is my opinion. not real crit. I've been skating for years and fact is that nobody gives a shit about board graphics. You might sell a few for the kids, but that's about it. Most people just by minilogos or the cheapest board anyway. Just as long as you know the board is from a decent factory brand does not matter. If I were building a skateboarding brand I would give out team videos or something instead of using money on board graphics.Ok,
so all this in mind I would argue that you will do just fine. As somebody pointed out the second board is kinda cartoony and "toy" if you know what I mean. I like the third board. Feel pretty indifferent for the first and fourth. I might buy them, but not for the graphics in this case. Digging the second shirt. Real nice. The first one has got some cartoony tribal shit and can't make anything of it. Would not buy it. The third shirt is obviously your brand so if you got some hang around kids, it is great for them.

i like the designs.
is there a particular theme to the graphics? i noticed on the site it mentioned some things about martial arts.
i like that concept a lot.also, do you have shops that already want to order some product? if so, you can kinda judge your spendings and how much money you'll make back right away.
also depending on the team, it doesn't matter what the graphics look like. if you have amazing riders, or well-known riders.
i'm sure you know all this.does danny wainwright ride for you guys?? i noticed him in the photo section.
anyways, i really like the paint dripping logo teeshirt. it would be cool if you could incorporate that into a skateboard design as well.
nice work!
hope all goes well!!

i like the 4th board, and the 2nd and 3rd tee. Not too keen on the first tee or the 2nd board either. The 2nd board colours look a bit murky together...maybe a darker blue....not really liking the overall design of it either. But lovin that monk board! definately some nice work. How much is it costing you to get the skateboard decks screened???

looking good Chris, how long before you get the boards done, can't wait to see how the keyboard design looks in person.

yeah my main aim with this thing is not really to make a load of money or to build the biggest company, its more about creating top quality products that likeminded skaters would be into.
i have 3 main passions, skateboarding, design and music and have good links in all 3 areas so basicalyl im just trying to combine everyhitng ive absorbed over these years to create strong products that im happy with.
i know that blank boards are the most popular thing out there, but thats too easy, and thats really not helping the industry at all..theres more to skateboarding than the piece of wood as u know im sure,.. kids dont get hyped on the latest blank board, that will never happen..(and im sure they wont get hyped on a skate company theyve never heard of but im just starting out so)
im all for the small independent company whose more interested in providing high quality products than making the money, i will always support them and i know that there are defintely a lot of skaters out there that feel the same.
the actual printed boards that im getting are costing me less than a blank board would cost me over here in the uk...i have a nice deal worked out with a very supportive OEM top level manufacturer in california which is sick.
a video is defintely in the works, which will feature a few up and coming skaters that im sponsoring that have had interviews and appear in the skatemags regularly, this is going to take some time tho.
ive got to stick up for that second graphic..that was designed by an illustrator who has done a lot of work for various skate based companies ranging from etnies to reaction to suburban bliss to viewfinder video to sidewalk mag etc etc...wouldnt say his style was attempting to be graff style at all, hes really not abuot that sorta thing...hes more on that bohemian vibe... i do agree tho, that graphic isnt really saying to much, it could definitely be better...so i think ill ditch that one :)
im not really targetting the kids, im just tryin to target likeminded skaters, skaters who are design aware..theres too many companies out there with clumsy graphics.
i know that appaeling to the kids is where the money is at, but this is more of a staying true to myself project at the end of the day.
hopefully each board graphic willl appeal to a different kind of 'real' skater depending on their tastes (nothign there for the punkers tho!!!)
ive gone for the knowledge theme with these boards....which relates to the fact that science comes from the latin scientia which basically means knowledge.
naah danny wainwright doesnt ride for me , but hes a good friend and i design for his shop 50:50 , wish he did ride for me tho !!!
ive got quite a few shops lined up to sell the goods at, everythings ready to go.
i like your idea about the dripping logo design being incorporated into a deck deisgn, thats a nice idea, ill replace the 'toy' graphic with that definteily
cheers for the feedback youve been a great help!!! :)

True. I've skated for too long now and to be honest the graf isn't a make or break deal on what I skate. Just s'long as it has excellent pop and feels good. Looks like your style is simular to ipath. I like the work choc and girl do on their decks. But its cosmetic. Nice work.
- evad0
scnc, i think you have a great attitude for what you're doing.
you're exactly right, it's not about the money, it's about the product.
i hope everything goes over really well!
let us know when the boards are available!

i like the monk board. good stuff.
- blend30
I would like to chime in with evad. It is always nice that some have the effort to put things forth. Ay!
