have you tried using Ad-ware yet? You might already know about it but its made by lava-soft. Scans your system for spy-ware and deletes it.
Its good if you like to view the porn or anything else for that matter. Getting rid of the spy-ware might help.

Another thought :: IE is capable of repairing itself to some degree. Select ADD/REMOVE from Windows Control Panel, select IE and then the Repair option.
Also, you can rollback your system to a specific date (when IE was working correctly) using the System Restore app. Note that you'll lose any customizations and software installations you've done from the rollback date forward, but you won't lose data files.

thanks as I mentioned Ive tried adaware and spybot search and destroy.. this is just internet explorer being freaky..
as it goes.. I STUPIDLY restarted using restore points last night!..
it deletes your old restore points.
because I thought to myself oh Im never going to my really old restore points.
anyhow.. it looks like if this problem persists any longer Im going to have to reinstall everything..
bit drastic but itll hopefully take away this issue!...
Im going to exhaust all possibilities first though.. I might as well get to the root of the problem.. in case I run into it again...
