Hi I need help on how much to quote a client for some work that I've done.
It's a small little company that is releasing a new product. I basically did the concepts and design for that product and also the CAD files/renderings and engineering drawings for it.
On top of that, I also did the design for the box packaging as well as a company logo, product logo, product labels and a website.Would appreciate if anyone can get back to me... Thanks!

wow...$shitload.25
i know CAD stuff and engineer drawings cost a lot. i would suspect a 4 to 5 digits. how much time did you put it to all of this?
do you have any examples of it that you can post.

well i'm just an industrial design student so i can't exactly charge them the industry rate...
but i was hoping for some idea of that rate so i'd know...took me 1and a half months to do most of it... left with the packaging and graphics...
i don't have any stuff to post...

if youve already done the work and given them all of it, then you probably just fucked yourself.
that is some serious business and you need to have the price hammered out before time. figure up your hours and multiply that by your rate.
equation: hours x rate = pay
and never NEVER do something that big without having a contract: http://aiga.com/resources/Conten… and an estimate settled.
so your only question now is: how much do i wanna make per hour? and your other even bigger question is: are these guys about to dick me over completely since ive already done the work.
and lets hope like hell they wont... but from my experience, these guys are probably about to put their small corporate dick in your teeny tiny little freelance ass.
best of luck to you though. i mean that.
