rigging airport antenna??

  hey there--I have a 15" powebook w/ Airport and can get free wireless off the street from verizon. Only problem is that the 15" books apparently have the antenna in the bottom of the book (dumb) whaile all the others have it in the monitor flap (smart)--I was told there are ways to rig the antenna; maybe run a coat hanger?!?! Put a mirror under it?!

  Anyone have experience w/ this. I have to stand right at the window to go online, but w/ my friend's ibook, we were sittin pretty on my couch.
