Creating flash portfolio.
I have done quite a few reactive flash gizzmos to promote films, viral media, quizzes that sort of thing.
I want to know if I will get sent to prison if I use some of the original film imagery in my portfolio. Just to remind the reader what film it was based on.
Whats the score?

if you got to go to prison make sure you get a cell to yourself ;p

I prefer layers to cells.

try asking the local copyright control...not sure who they would be in italy...

they were done whilst I was working in London.
Buena Vista, and Warner Bros. mainly.
It was 2 years ago now but I still want to put them in.
It will be unfindable from search engines as it will all be in flash, thinking of just putting them in but very small size. didnt have personal contact with these people, all done through an Account handler. So phone call is out of the Question.

I don't even know who it would be here in UK, Seph....
When I was in Switzerland it was a company called Suisa, they dealt with all copyright issues, you just called them (anonymously) and asked theoretically what the score was...

from what i was taught, anything you do is your work, even if you did it for somebody else. You still have the rights to show it in your portfolio and use it as reference material, as long as you aren't selling it or making money off it. Also, give credit(s) for work that isn't yours if you used it in your piece(s).
