What Does an Advertising Agency Do?

So , okay. Iam an Inhouse Designer for a fuckin shit company I wont even mention the name of , all Il say is they got nothing to do with design. My boss is a t.w.a.t, oh yes what a fat muther foker he is. Completly unreasonable, no it all, listen to me kind of guy. He has plans on starting his own "Advertising Firm" One Problem. He seems to think an Advertising Agencies main purpose it to Buy Advertising Space for cheap prices for clients. I know... what a Tit. When I tell him what an advertising firm is he thinks iam bullshitting him..
So Ok help me out here. Give me descriptions of the key areas of what an advertising firm does..
( also he doesnt understand the rank system involved in design Eg: junior Designer, Senior, creative lead etc etc.)
Infact He is planning on taking on a couple of designers straight out of collage and making them compete on the same level as me, even though I got 3 years company experience and Ive been working in this rathole for 1 and a half years doing all the fucking designer, marketing and shit on my own.
You Can see Iam being real Positive about all this.. anyone got an Axe?

search for a GOOD job...! And then spread rumors about your boss that he fcks sheep in the weekends or something.

I think of this as being pretty typical of an advertising agency. Tell him to have a look at that.
