Hey all, i'm using an iframe on the news column on http://www.parts-of-speech.com it looks fine on all my browsers on my mac (Jaguar) but my friend is on a pc running ie 6 and said he gets a horizontal scroll.
My css for the text width is:div#mainClm{float:left;padding:0... 0px 0px 0px;width:90%;}

wierd, now it works. but try setting your scrolling="auto"
- czrock0
any idea how i can get rid of it?
- czrock0
it is set to auto now but I don't think that will do it

then you have to set the width smaller, like 50px smaller in your news & shows source.
check out the source of NT.

scroll=no

if you do scroll = no the html page within the iframe will have its own scroll, i think

make the tabe in the frame not so wide. as long as it is set to scroll=auto and the tabe does not hit the side a scrollbar will not appeaar.

that just totally gets rid of the scrolling

it isn't a table in a fram it's all css
div#mainClm{float:left;padding:0... 0px 0px 0px;width:300px;}

this is what i have for the iframe on my site (news section) and itr works on all platforms
FrameBorder=0 width=250
height=303 SCROLL="no"
- czrock0
when i put use scrolling="no" i get no scroll at all, it could have something to do with using css and not tables
- unformatted0
you can do it sexypixel's way or the way i said. both WILL work.
you just have to make the width of the div smaller.
look at the source of NT. they also use scrolling="auto"

yes, i think for that section i would use tables in iFrames. it will save you a headache
- czrock0
is it better to use % for the div or exact pixels?
- czrock0
is there still an h scroll?
- unformatted0
use exact pixel widths.

my table is set to 325px and my div tab is div#mainClm{float:left;padding:0... 0px 0px 0px;width:275px;}
