If you want a good php one, I suggest using some sourceforge components and filling the gaps yourself.

Is that possible?

If you're using PHP and MySQL, Typo3 is the only thing you'll ever need. http://typo3.com ... It's got a bit of a scary learning curve, but once you've learned how to set it up, it's easy as yo mama on a saturday night.

That Typo3 is phat!
And hey man, my moma isnt that easy... at least not at a s-night :)

Hey,
Anybody know of an easy offline CMS?
None of the fully dynamic services are really scalable if you need to do big portal type of services. After all what's the point of doing something dynamically if you are really not using any of the real advantages of server-side scripting. I guess I would need some kind of system for cron type automatic updates on the server side and separate content management tasks from a remote client...

I guess I'm after some good alternatives for Macromedia Contribute.

I found this one last week:
quite simple and easy for begginers, lets you upload images, multiple categories, users, easy to integhrate with templates.... based on a news system, but you can customise to fit your needs.

And this is a good reason why not sell things you can't do kids!
