Anyone know of any books, magazines, or packaging that really illustrate good use of 2 or 3 color printing?

i got this book in college.
its not bad.i would also check out gigposters.com
those designers usually hand print their designs using only 1,2,3 colors. a lot of inspiration to be had there

Thanks for the recomendation. Is that book printed in full color though?

Maybe take a trip to yer local printer and ask for some samples.
Or if you work for an agency, tell yer sales rep to bring you a bunch. That's what I'd do.

I need innovative stuff.
flourecent duotones, folding economy, black+varnish, 250 linescreen...
all my swatchbooks are 4c, hexachrome, or just boring. Most (of my) printers wouldnt take a chance with weird samples

call different printers...they love giving away samples. williamson printing here in dallas does lots of nice stuff. also, check out paper promotions. they usually use innovative printing techniques.

thanks,
I've heard alot of good stuff about williamson, and have contacted them twice for samples... never heard back though
I do have all of the French Paper promotions that they did though. It's all hexachrome or ridiculous 10/10 pressheets... great looking though, I'm not trying to knock it.
Now if I could only get a client to pay for 4cp + 2 hits of silver + 2 hits of white.Right now I've got a non=profit client with a tiny budget who cant picture anything with 2-colors looking good.
I want to convince them to go with 2/2 text pages and (with the savings over 4cp) foil stamp the cover.
