I would never give up my education. I am an advocate of always goingto school, whenever you can, for whatever you can (if you can swing it).
But of course you want to go to a worthwhile institution, which in this case I know nothing of your choice... But as for school in general, do it while you can, nothing like good education (as long as it is challenging)
went to RISD

Goldenhands ... when did you go to Algonquin???
I graduated in 97.
Thanks for your words Eddie somethin or other ... I think I tend to agree ... Education is always good .... especially if you're born independently rich! .. haha!
Funny thing I heard ... and just incase I plan on resorting to driving a rig ... haha! with GPS now used in trucks you have to have a degree to drive a truck now!! holly shit!

i went there in 94-95, didn't graduate, actually got booted from the program. :)

Mathias, thanks..
Xrtions, I too want to go to university, but is a couple years at OCAD really a university experience? i thought it was more of an art school.....
i dont know though.. theres nothing to say that you can't learn about color theory, or typography, on your own, or from your peers... is classical training really that much better?
or why not spend all that money and travel through Europe for a year...
;)

just finished 2nd year in the York/Sheridan Design Program. Its fun. More hackers than hacks
- Mathias0
DUDE - who kicked you out of the program?? Janet Menger??
NICK! - wicked point - I have been thinking of the travel thing a lot too ... its tempting for sure. Considering I have never been that way yet.
OCAD is more of an arts school ... but no matter its still a BA degree ... which I know can sometimes be as useful as the papaer its printed on .. but also it can be a deciding factor for management level position to some.
Man, sorry I realize this conversation is going in circles ... but its a tough call either way.
Man, would europe ever be good.
- Mathias0
Preston - 'more hackers than hacks' ... can you ellaborate a little more?

Do you have a personal site where I can check out some of your work?
- preston0

hack... unoriginal, shifty-like (bad)
- unknown0
tuition in europe is reasonable
who wants to pay 25-30 geez a year for education?
if you just want a degree I would consider a place in europe
in england tuition is around 1.100 quids plus 2.500 quids for housing (if you wanna crash alone) a year.
italy, spain, switzerland?
any other good places to get educated?
- Mathias0
So I assume you are speaking of England ... but I've already been accepted to OCAD ... don't wanna wait till next year if I am going to do this.
