I´m doing this illustration for a crime story. Story and illustration are going to be published in finnish newspaper. The story is about this guy who finds dead body in the beach... What do you think about the picture: style, colors etc.

I like the style and the colours. I don't think it really gets the message across 100% though - The guy looks like he's casually watching a hovering red 'X', not discovering a body...

I agree, it's a really cool illustration, and I like the color.. but it doesn't feel like discovering a dead body. Maybe darker colors? I'm not sure...

maybe it's not the color, maybe it's just the body language of that guy.. leaning back w/hands in pocket...

hmm.. it's empty... the cross is too much in the center... it's not scary or spooky nor shocking.
make it edgier and more like discovering a dead person instead of a tourist withy a relaxed attitude gazing at an undefined red cross..
just my 2c.

Its quite difficult to judge without reading the actual text but presonally I quite like the feel of it. Its quite sparse and bleak which I like. Maybe you can play with the composition a bit to see if you can give it a bit more tension. think Hitchcock perhaps?!
as i said its difficult to judge without the full context but I think its heading in the right direction.

eh...dead body's in the car? if not, then why the car is out there?
if do then place the scale down "X" on the top of the car will do the job....
