A guy just showed me a tip:
When building sites that must be developed for resolution different than your computer, type this into the browser and it'll resize to the specified dimensions...
javascript:window.resizeTo(800,6...
that way you don't have to change settings to test!

Fuck that! Every time a site resizes my browser window, it's instant alt-f4. That shit is so fucked up. Why the fuck do people think it's ok to fuck with my browser without asking for permission first?

schjetne, pay attention before going ona rampage (the vikinh blood, eh). the tip was not for getting visitors angry by resizing their windows but rather for developing.
you type that code into the url and voila the browser magically resizes showing you that the nasty vertical scrollbar does indeed appear because you miscalculated all those pixels ;)

btw. i created two bookmarks - one for 800x600 and the other for 1024x768. and they both work like a miracle :)

That shit is called a "bookmarklet" by the way. You can do tons of handy stuff with them.
