hi kids. Can anyone help? I'm trying to create graphics for a TV program, thats to be broadcast in widescreen. At the moment im making my PSD's at 1094 x 576, then crushing them down to 768 x 576. Im told this will be stretched back to the original size to give a 16:9 format. Is this the best way to do it? seems a bit odd to me. Thanks kids

When I prepare artwork for UK widescreen tv I create it at 16:9 1024x574.
Then (I use after effects) make your comp PAL D1/DV Widescreen 720x576 with the pixel aspect ratio at D1/DV PAL Widescreen (1.42).
Then as you say, the horizontal aspect of your image will look squashed, and will be streched back when you output to tape.
It is odd but it works.
