is anyone else here on a wireless connection?
i recently got a d-link modem and router to hook up to my cable modem in the next room.the connection is constantly stalling, working for 1 min and cut the next. it's driving me nuts!
is there like any magic tricks i can bestow on my modem to make it work better?

I suffer from this syndrome constantly. My problems though are do to three independent factors.
1) Titanium PowerBook
:::poorly placed internal antenna
2) 2.4 ghz Cordless phone
:::disrupts signal when in use
3) Microwave
:::try to get as far away as possibleFYI: I use the Apple Airport Station.

:) yeah, i was on dial-up before this.. so it was a hell of a leap. but it was either wireless or drill a hole in the wall.
and i'm on a pc.. not mac. but that's good advice about phones and microwaves.
i read ceiling fans can mess it up too.
i wish i could just wrap a piece of aluminum foil around the antena to make it work better, you know? like the old radio's or t.v.s with the attena. nothin' worked like a piece of aluminum foil!

I don't have a router or access point for my wireless network. I just connect ad-hoc for 4 of my wireless devices.
The only thing i can think of is does your router or wireless card have a power saving option? One of my cheap USB wireless cards would power down after a few minutes and take forever to kick back in.
